Artistic Director:
Christine has over 30 years of combined theatre and dance training, teaching, and professional performance experience. She is a Dance Masters of America certified educator and was a professional singer, dancer, and actress; earning membership into Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). She currently works as a teaching artist for the Brevard Cultural Alliance and Brevard Public Schools and is a voice over talent for local television and radio.
Christine studied acting, voice, and dance, with a concentration in musical theatre in the BFA Theatre degree programs at both the University of Central Florida and University of Mississippi, where she was awarded a theatre scholarship. She received supplemental vocal training under the direction of American Institute of Musical Studies (AIMS) and former Carnegie Hall soloist, Dr. Dale Morehouse, and NYC Metropolitan Opera soloists, Dr. David Fairchild and Mr. John Fiato. A trained dancer in a variety of dance disciplines, she has also received additional professional dance instruction at Florida State University, University of South Florida, Nashville Ballet, Orlando School of Ballet, School of Performing Arts, Broadway Dance Center NYC, and Steps on Broadway NYC.
Professionally, Christine was a featured vocalist and dancer for Universal Studios Florida, Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort, and for a national musical touring company. Her performance experience includes principal and company roles in productions throughout the East Coast, such as with the Treasure Coast Opera Co., Capone’s Dinner Theatre, Mac-Haydn Theatre, and Quincy Music Theatre, as well as in Brevard County productions at the former Phoenix Theatre and Henegar Center for the Arts.
Christine has had the privilege to work with children in the early childhood educational setting as a substitute teacher and volunteer for Brevard Public Schools, as a volunteer teacher’s assistant with the READY BODIES, LEARNING MINDS (RBLM) MOTOR LAB, as a teacher’s assistant in after-school programs for Hillsborough and Monroe County Public Schools, and as a private preschool and daycare teacher’s assistant.
